Standard TRICARE copays and cost-shares apply for TMS, psychiatric visits, therapy visits, and all follow-ups. We review your expected costs with you before you begin.
Inner Armor does not apply to TRICARE For Life, VA Community Care, or Medicare patients. TRICARE For Life patients are welcome for TMS through Medicare.
The program is built around four treatment goals.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) raises oxygen levels in the blood and has been studied for TBI and trauma-related symptoms. This use is off-label.
Research associates ketamine and TMS with increased neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new connections. IV ketamine is used off-label.
HBOT has been studied for its effects on cellular energy (mitochondrial function, how cells produce energy).
TMS and talk therapy focus on the brain's executive control centers, with the goal of helping you build new habits, manage emotions, and respond differently to triggers.

Meet with one of our experienced psychiatric providers for a comprehensive 90-minute evaluation, where we develop an individualized treatment plan for you.
Some TRICARE plans require a referral or authorization before you can see a mental health provider.
If your plan requires a referral or authorization, please contact your PCM or Primary Care Provider (PCP) and ask them to submit the referral paperwork to TRICARE for you to see a psychiatric provider and/or therapist at Mind Spa.
Once the referral is approved, please make sure it is sent to Mind Spa before your appointment. Our team will let you know what information we need.
Please note: It is your responsibility to work with your PCM or PCP to obtain any required referrals or authorizations before receiving treatment.
We handle the paperwork and submit the TMS prior authorization to TRICARE for approval. This process typically takes about two weeks.
Once approved, you begin your personalized program, combining TMS, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and ketamine infusion therapy, plus medication management and therapy as needed.
Inner Armor runs 7 to 12 weeks. Medication management and therapy are added as needed. Standard TRICARE copays and cost-shares apply, and we review your expected costs with you before you begin.
Mind Spa uses the Apollo TMS Therapy System, which is FDA-cleared for major depressive disorder and OCD. TMS for PTSD, anxiety, and TBI is off-label. IV ketamine is used off-label for depression, PTSD, and anxiety. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is used off-label for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and mental health conditions. Neither ketamine nor HBOT is FDA-approved for these uses. The only FDA-approved ketamine-based treatment for depression is esketamine (Spravato) nasal spray. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
